Encaustic Abstract Art, Mixed Media, Contemporary Painting, "Fools Gold" by Texas Contemporary Artist Sharon Whisnand
This is an encaustic painting, which is made by using encaustic medium and
pigment heated to 200 degrees. Each layer must be fused to the layer beneath with either a heat gun or propane torch. This gives the viewer the opportunity to see through the layers.
